The Sustainability Public Service Announcement (SPSA) Project at the City College of New York is creating a campus messaging campaign around sustainability topics with digital content created by students showing on the public display screens throughout campus. Sponsored by the CCNY Teaching Learning Center and the Campus Engagement Network, this interdisciplinary Project led by adjunct faculty Stephanie Rose and Pamela Stemberg brings together a cohort of  instructors from departments across The City College of New York to implement a common Sustainability Public Service Announcement (PSA) assignment in their courses. Students are asked to create engaging digital PSAs for the campus community on sustainability issues that also highlight sustainability organizations and initiatives on campus, in Harlem, or throughout New York City, and their internship offerings. The Project may spark student interest in sustainability topics for future coursework, community engagement, and eventually become a focus brought into the many economic sectors that employ City College students.

Participating instructors for Fall 2023 include: Jennifer Buno, Danielle Carr, Deborah Cheng, Julianne Davidow, Davian Ellis, Marilyn Gunner, Kevaughn Hunter, David John, Yoo Jin Lee, Nicola MacDonald, Kyle McDonald, Deirdre Nolan Diomaris Padilla, Emily Raboteau, Samantha Richman, Stephanie Rose, Pamela Stemberg, Debra Williams, June Williamson, and Yael Wyner.
